Hang in there John, God loves you. It doesn't feel like I can really leave a comment that does justice to what you're going through. But God's there somehow. Thanks for the essays by the way, I've read them & found them interesting/helpful.

I love you John. Thanks for being real. Am also going through lots of shaping - why do we rely on our strength so much? Also needing to grow in love for my wife. No pat answers from me, but it's perverse that pain and suffering are good. Embrace it, but rejoice when it's over. Hope to see you in College soon. Simon more…

    Hi John

I've not looked at your blog in ages and now wished that I had done. What a rough time you've been having. Will be thinking of you and praying for you lots over the forthcoming weeks. Sounds like it might be worth reviewing now whether you should really teach that block tutorial.

Hallo! Glad you've been enjoying it. Hope the essays inspired rather than bored you!

I am glad I'm doing it (though it can be quite painful at times!) It's going to be very weird going back to my job... more…

My pleasure Claire! Do feel free to look at all posts (and nag if I don't update weekly!)

Yeah - we have really discovered just how much they value us going in once a week - for many it's a highlight in an otherwise very dull week.

Hi John. Thank you for letting me be nosey and look at your blog! I hope your year at bible college is really rewarding and fruitful and helps you in the ways that you hope it will. I love that you're going to Tumbling Bay (what a great name for an old people's home!)- I've thought about old people quite a lot since my dad died and how invisible th more…

It means no praying full stop. Somehow they see praying as a religious meeting but singing isn't classed as such. But if we get invites to people's flats then we're OK there as it's their property not communal property subject to the ruling...

Hi John - good to hear from you again! It sounds like God is REALLY doing something exciting in both *your* life and the lives of those around you. Particularly with regards to the healings and casting out of demons, but also with regards to the work that's been going on at Tumbling Bay (btw with the no-praying-unless-you're-singing rule, did tha more…

    Hello!

We'll, I can say honestly, this is my first 'blog' experience, so not too sure what to add...

On the phone and mobile, you have the limit of minutes and texts and the need to be succint, as if I am!

With a blog, can I write as much as i like!

I am also blown away by that! Its always humbling to find out what God has planned for you and then when you follow you have an amazingly peaceful time. I shall try and do that more this week with the worries that keep coming back - why do I give them to God and then take them back and worry about them again? more…

    Hi John

I know I said I would leave a comment BEFORE I went away but it sort of slipped as the packing extended! Anyway you get a comment AFTER I've been away which is much more exciting (actually not). Hmmm long essays. Why don't you do what I do and put lots of pictures in :o) Teachers never notice LOL.

Hi John! Fantastic to hear all the things that have happened in just two weeks! I was particularly struck by what you said about sitting in silence before God and just listening to what he has in store for us; sometimes we spend all our time before God with a list of prayer requests and we forget to actually spend time listening!

    Hi there Rich

I am a bit confused - I was being overwhelmingly positive - saying how these things have (in the past) been healed, relationships have been restored and I am now free. It is part of my story of how great God is.

Slightly concerned at the "had a difficult home-life" reference made in your blog. Is this with reference to your parents and your upbringing? If it is you are well overdue letting go of these percieved difficulties, its not fair on your folks, nor your brothers and sister who again hear such negativity in your blog. Sometimes memories are false, more…

So sorry that you think that Walrus. Unfortunately I have seen and heard far too much to ever think otherwise (ranging from the my sister healed of epilepsy, my wife healed of polycystic ovaries, the blind seeing, the paralysed walking, people being set free from heroin addictions without cold turkey, people healed of HIV and the dead being raised more…
